STORY
How it began
I was once an athlete, full of energy and enthusiasm for physical fitness. However, everything changed when I entered medical school. The intense demands of studying, research, and clinical responsibilities took over my life, leading to long hours, stress, and unhealthy habits. Despite all this, I perceived myself as healthy, dismissing vitamins and supplements as scams and believing that all foods were created equal.
But reality hit when I discovered I was prediabetic and that my LDL was out of range in my mid 40s. The stress from work had taken a significant toll, causing insomnia that required a nightly dose of zolpidem. I relied on coffee to get through the day. To make matters worse, a biological age test revealed I was ten years older than my actual age—something I initially dismissed as “an error.”
The real wake-up call came when I was traveling and developed lower back pain from carrying a backpack. The pain wouldn’t go away despite the usual measures—rest, NSAIDs, analgesic cream, and even a fancy mattress. That’s when it struck me: my body was falling apart.
Determined to reclaim my health—especially since my bucket list was still waiting—I adopted a new strategy focused on strengthening my back muscles, and it surprisingly worked. This effort soon progressed into a comprehensive weight training and cardio workout.
I also began using a continuous glucose monitor and was shocked to see glucose spikes after eating carbs. Okay, foods matter. This prompted me to quit sugar, limit my carb intake, and be more mindful of my diet. I even incorporated some strategic supplements into my routine. The changes were almost immediate—I felt much more energized and alive.
Driven by these results, I delved deeper into strategies for slowing the aging process and developed my first reverse aging protocol in August 2023. This journey has transformed my understanding of health and longevity, and I’m eager to share my insights with others looking to embrace their own path to wellness.
